Awesome support from the team! I reached out and described the issues, and right away, they pointed out which components could be faulty and might need swapping out. I decided to start with the less expensive part, which was £17 with shipping, and today, after installation, our cross trainer is up and running again!

Great support after purchase: upon opening the package, I noticed that the top surface of one of the plastic panels was peeling quite a bit. Once I mentioned this, they promptly sent a new set of panels via first class mail. I'm really happy that the problem got sorted out without any hassle.

I've been using the York Perform multigym since March, and overall, it gets the job done, but it definitely has some issues in the leg area:

1. The foam padding isn’t thick or durable enough, which has caused pain and left scars on my legs. I even had to buy shin guards and use pipe lagging because it’s less painful. Right now, I'm lifting 85 kilos.

2. The end ball broke today and slipped through the eye, which could make bicep exercises tricky and might lead to injury.

I’m curious to know what York plans to do to make this gym more suitable for use?

Edit: 15/12/2022 - After York's response, I’m dropping my rating to 1 star. The design of the pads clearly can’t handle the full 100 kilos on the shins without causing harm.

Edit: 13/02/2022 - York wouldn’t acknowledge that the pads were insufficient, but when they sent replacements, they were obviously better quality. I also got them to swap out the upper pads since, while they had decent cushioning, they didn’t fit snugly and kept coming off. I’m now at a 3-star rating, and it would be 4 if York hadn’t tried to convince me that the design of the rollers and pads was fine. Overall, the gym feels solid and is a good choice for a home setup where space is limited. Mine is right next to the radiator in the kitchen. Some of the fittings aren’t the best quality, and besides my main concern with the pads, bits of plastic tend to fall off easily. I could probably fix that with superglue, but if the plastic parts fit well from the start, I wouldn’t need to. For the record, I’m now up to 95 kilos on the legs, and I don’t feel any pain, having used the new pads for the last 6 weeks.

I’m amazed at how supportive and considerate they’ve been. As someone with a disability, I required an exercise bike to enhance my mobility. They really went above and beyond to ensure everything was set up right. It’s genuinely a service focused on people, not just making money.
